Multiple political parties demand invite to TV debate on Brexit

May defends draft Brexit deal Brexit: Donald Tusk tells European Union to approve deal

"Our key finding is that if the governments proposed Brexit deal is implemented so that the United Kingdom leaves the EU customs union and single market in 2021, then by 2030 GDP will be around 4 per cent lower than it would have been had the United Kingdom stayed in the EU", NIESR noted in the report, according to British pro-am newspaper The New European.

During a visit to the Royal Welsh Winter Fair in Builth Wells in Powys, Mrs May said: "Of course I am going to be debating in the House of Commons with all parties on the issue of the Brexit deal". British Prime Minister Theresa May will pick up the baton on Saturday evening when she holds talks in Brussels with Jean-Claude Juncker, head of the EU's executive Commission. "Because right now if you look at the deal, they may not be able to trade with us ..." "If you had a vast majority saying we don't authorise the government to leave with no deal, it would be very hard politically to do so", he said.

While Hawes said the Withdrawal Agreement's transition period would "step us back from the cliff edge", there had been no firm agreement on the future trade framework beyond that.

"We have a working group set up and that is working very well, has met several times and is continuing to work with the USA on this".

Lawyers for a group of Scottish politicians want the European Court of Justice (ECJ) to interpret whether Britain can revoke its notice to withdraw from the EU under Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty without the agreement of the other 27 states.

Downing Street believes a direct appeal to voters will help get her controversial deal through the parliament, where 90 Tory members publicly stated that they will vote against the EU-UK agreement on how Britain will leave the regional bloc on March 29 next year. But a deeply divided British parliament means May is left facing an uphill battle to get the deal approved on December 11.

Starmer argues that if the only alternative was the chaos of no deal, then May and the EU27 would back down and allow this.

Jeremy Corbyn's Labour party has the support of more 16-34 year old's than May's Conservatives do and 74% of that demographic regularly watch the jungle show and so may not forfeit their viewing for the debate. "There should not be a second referendum", she added.

She is also due to travel to Wales.

Admitting that she was repeating the position she had taken over the past few months, the SNP leader said: "The case for the people of Scotland to determine their own future has never been stronger and I will return to that matter when we know which approach to Brexit the Commons chooses".

Looking towards December 11, May said there is a choice the House of Commons will have to make.

They have also agreed a statement on the future relationship, which will be used to guide the creation of a legally binding treaty.

Mrs May is facing calls today to reveal the date she will quit as PM as part of plans to try and force her agreement through Parliament.

British Prime Minister Theresa May (L) leaves 10 Downing Street following a cabinet meeting in London, Britain, on November 26, 2018.

May needs to win a simple majority in parliament - 320 votes if all active lawmakers turn out and vote - but former whips, who have long studied parliamentary arithmetic, say the prime minister may end up needing only 305 votes if illnesses and abstentions are accounted for.
