The Saudi prosecution had received information from Turkish investigators suggesting that the suspects meant to kill Khashoggi, and would continue its probe in light of those findings, the official Saudi Press Agency said on Thursday.

Saudi Arabia's public prosecutor has been quoted as saying the death was "premeditated" and Turkey believe this was meticulously planned.

When President Donald Trump spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman last week, he denied any knowledge or involvement in Khashoggi's disappearance and alleged murder.

The kingdom announced over the weekend that 18 Saudis have been arrested over the killing while four senior intelligence officials and an adviser to the crown prince have been fired.

The CIA chief held talks Tuesday in Turkey as global outrage mounted over the killing of Saudi palace critic Khashoggi inside the kingdom's consulate in Istanbul, where he went to complete paperwork for his upcoming marriage.

Should worldwide relations with Saudi Arabia continue to worsen over the next few months, WWE could very likely find themselves in the exact same position in 2019. The resolution also called on member countries to halt exports of "surveillance systems and other dual-use items that may be used in Saudi Arabia for the purposes of repression".

Worldwide critics, including U.S. President Donald Trump, have said that the country's de facto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, bears ultimate responsibility for the killing.

The shifting explanations indicate Saudi Arabia is scrambling for a way out of the crisis that has enveloped the world's largest oil exporter and a major USA ally in the Middle East.

Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih conceded yesterday that the scandal had hurt the kingdom's image.

Language in the bill stated that President Trump could request exceptions to the arms sale ban if he also submitted a report on a US investigation into anyone involved in "the murder of journalist and United States permanent resident Jamal Khashoggi".

Turkish police are still searching for any trace of Khashoggi, as they press the Saudi authorities for the location of his body.

In his first public comments on the matter, bin Salman promised on Wednesday that the killers would be brought to justice.

The European Parliament passed a nonbinding resolution Thursday urging an EU-wide arms embargo on Saudi Arabia in response. The two countries, while both allies of the US, have taken opposing positions on crucial Middle East flash points. France has said it will consider sanctions against Saudi Arabia if its intelligence services find Riyadh was behind Khashoggi's death.

'We are determined not to allow the murder to be covered up and for those responsible - from the person who gave the order to those who executed it - not to escape justice, ' he said in the capital, Ankara.
