Google makes it easier to view and delete your Search data

In addition to being able to delete recent search activity, control ad settings and have access to Activity Controls, users will also see a "How activity data makes Search work" message aimed at educating them on how their settings and activity on Google impact search results.
"We're always working on making it easier for you to understand and control your data so you can make privacy choices that are right for you", said Eric Miraglia, Google's director of product management for privacy and data protection. Scroll to the bottom of the Your Search activity section on the new Your data in Search page, and you will see options to either delete the last hour of your search activity or all search activity you've ever conducted.
The change comes not long after a mini-scandal erupted over poor wording on Google's support page regarding how and when it tracks users' location data. There's also quick access to Activity Controls, where a user can adjust what information Google saves to their account and uses across Google services. It'll then bring up a form where you can set a date range through which your activity will be deleted, as well as the Google products that this will apply to. You can check your sign-in security, change payment methods, and dig into the data contained within all your Google services. It will be rolling out to the Google App for Android (and iOS) in the weeks ahead. All of this data is used by Google, and the company says that it isn't shared with any other third party.
Everything that gets entered into the search box or Chrome's omnibar somehow finds its way to Google servers where it can be logged and stored.
Did you know that Google is stashing information about your Google searches? Being able to not only see your personal data, but also delete it, puts more control in the user's hands - where it should be.
