According to Leon Valley police, two men and one woman were seen in the San Antonio Aquarium standing near a large saltwater tank.

Footage from inside the aquarium shows two men and a woman sneaking the 2ft-3ft gray horn shark from the building on Saturday. They got away in a pickup truck, which police tracked down Monday evening.

"When we got into the garage and into the house it looked like nearly a mock up of [the San Antonio Aquarium]", Leon Valley police chief Joseph Salvaggio was quoted as saying.

This is linking to the earlier post about the Horn Shark that was stolen from the San Antonio Aquarium.

Describing the heist to the media, Spellman said the bucket had originally contained a 5 percent bleach solution, leading aquarium officials to worry for Ms. Helen's health. "But it turns out someone actually went inside the aquarium there in Leon Valley and stole a horn shark". Salvaggio said the person, who has not been identified, confessed to the crime. One of the men claimed his son was sick and he had to leave, she said.

The suspects are facing charges for theft between $750 and $2,000.

According to Jen Spellman, general manager of the San Antonio Aquarium, an employee noticed what was going on and immediately notified management. Cradling the shark in his hands, he walks past visitors looking at other displays and out of the camera's sight, leaving a trail of water on the aquarium's floor. But what turned out to be a forged receipt did not persuade the inspector, who took the man into custody.

On Saturday, July 28th one of our employees reported seeing suspicious activity from three people around one of our interactive shark touch pools. "She is doing good so far, and we are hopeful she will recover fully from the shock and return to her home she is used to", the aquarium wrote on Facebook.
