FBI agent Peter Strzok say political bias did not impact investigations

After Blowing Off Subpoena FBI Lawyer Lisa Page Will Testify to Congress Friday Room erupts in anger and disbelief after Rep. Louie Gohmert asks FBI agent Peter Strzok about affair

This argument would nearly certainly fall apart before a judge, given the fact that the FBI Inspector General found no evidence that Peter Strzok's "political bias" affected the outcome of either the FBI's investigation into candidate Donald Trump or their investigation into candidate Hillary Clinton.

In Washington, D.C., it was 10 hours of fireworks in Congress as Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Peter Strzok faced off with House Republican lawmakers Thursday during a hearing convened by the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees. But Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., cut him off and asked him to withdraw the assertion that Strzok had lied. "No he won't. We'll stop it.' If by 'we" Strzok meant the FBI - which had opened its investigation into the Trump campaign's Russian Federation ties just over a week earlier - that poses the question of whether Strzok hoped to impact the election through his work".

"Do you need your medication?"

At one point, Strzok said he didn't appreciate an assertion from Gowdy, who retorted, "I don't give a damn what you appreciate".

Strzok's peculiar reaction to one question caught the eye of viewers and many took to Twitter to confirm that their eyes weren't deceiving them.

"Through it all, Strzok emerged as a largely unflappable, if unlikely, champion of the very bureau that removed him from his role in the Russian Federation investigation last July".

"I have the utmost respect for Congress's oversight role, but I truly believe that today's hearing is just another victory notch in Putin's belt and another milestone in our enemies' campaign to tear America apart", Strzok said. The 2008 Republican presidential candidate has repeatedly challenged Mueller's appointment and claimed no collusion took place between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation, while personally attacking Mueller and any findings of his probe.

Giuliani, who usually delivers his messages through television interviews, was responding to Strzok's highly contentious hearing Thursday before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees.

Representative Bob Goodlatte, the Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said in his opening statement that the hearing was necessary.

This is why the whole argument against Strzok and the FBI is absurd: Strzok and colleagues could have doomed Trump with one phone call, leaking the investigation into possible collusion with Russian Federation. "What does Trump support smell like Mister Strzok?"

The texts made it crystal clear that Strzok and Page despised Donald Trump and wanted Hillary Clinton to defeat him in the 2016 presidential election. A former Army officer, he said he thought Americans would reject Trump after his "horrible, disgusting behavior" attacking the parents of a fallen soldier.

Reading several of Strzok's text messages back to him, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) accused Strzok of having an "unusual and largely self-serving" definition of bias. They allowed Strzok's former lover Lisa Page to delay her committee appearance - originally scheduled for Wednesday - until after she had ample opportunity to observe his televised testimony. And Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman said, "I have never seen my colleagues so out of control, so angry".
