American actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who Wednesday may 19, will leave on a wedding trip to Alberta, Canada.

According to Express, Meghan and Harry were presented with unsolicited gifts from businesses, firms and celebrities, and were forced to return whopping £7 million worth of presents. Ons praat oor: Harry en Meghan Deel 1 will be broadcast on Thursday 30 May at 19:00 on VIA with a repeat on Saturday 2 June at 15:00.

Her new profile on royal.uk sparked backlash when it went live following her wedding to Prince Harry, with many fans outraged the former Suits star's 15-year acting career had been glossed over.

Sources revealed that she thanked the royal family for accepting her so easily into "The Firm".

But there are strict rules surrounding what the couple can be sent and many companies gave them presents to promote their wares and get their publicity.

The pair will reportedly spend their weekend at the home known as Westfield Large while their official residence at Kensington Palace is being renovated.

Because let's face it: Any bride-to-be would do just about anything to look like Meghan coming down those steps with Prince Harry.

An unnamed guest at the reception told The Sun newspaper: "Meghan totally stole the show". Meghan and Harry instead asked their family and friends to donate to the seven charities that they had personally selected to honour their big day.

An early favourite was somewhere in Africa, as the continent holds a special place in both Harry and Meghan's hearts, although lately Canada has been gaining traction.

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said that a donation will be made to the Invictus Games charity, which will be hosted in Sydney this year.

However, if they arrive once Prince Charles has ascended the throne, they could become a Prince or Princess because their grandfather is the king.

In her column for The Spectator, the actress admitted that she found the dress code for the nuptials at Windsor Castle "tricky", because they required her to wear a hat.
