The White House on Thursday released a video via Twitter featuring various members of the staff weighing in.

The White House has weighed in on the "Laurel" versus "Yanny" debate that has been tearing the internet apart - but the results had a bit of a twist.

"It's "Laurel.' But I could deflect and divert to 'Yanny" if you need me to", Conway says.

"Yanny's the victor, Laurel's the loser", Schlapp says.

"There's also the question of what platform you heard the recording on first â€" the differences in the audio could have something to do with how Twitter or Instagram compresses video files.

Unless you live under an internet-less rock, you've probably been asked the question sometime this week: yanny or laurel?

We get that it's a joke, but come on, White House.

Here is a brief summery: For starters, what you hear depends on which frequencies your brain emphasizes.

Ivanka Trump is definitely on Team Laurel, but Kellyanne "alternative facts" Conway isn't too loyal to her side. The word Yanny, the second frequency, has nearly exactly the same pattern as the L, R, L in Laurel.

The Press Secretary blamed his information on CNN calling it "fake news" and clarified she could only hear Yanny.

Even Mike Pence joined the fun, robotically turning to the camera and asking, "Who's Yanny?" "All I hear is Yanny", responded Sarah Sanders.
