Many Paris Saint-Germain fans will have breathed a little easier when they saw Neymar's social-media activity this morning.

Then he is off to represent Brazil at this summer's World Cup in Russian Federation, but when he returns the former Santos man has hinted it will be with the Parisians.

Neymar might never be the centre of attention at Real Madrid but the move could happen this summer, as the Brazilian has apparently informed his teammates that he won't return to Paris after the World Cup, according to Spanish newspaper, AS.

Neymar, out of action since February due to a foot injury, attended the Coupe de France final win over third-tier side Les Herbiers on Tuesday and is in contention to feature in PSG's last two games of the Ligue 1 season.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Real Madrid have held "secret talks" with the 26-year-old over a potential return to Spain ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Speaking on the YouTube channel of Brazil legend Zico, he said: "Everything's going well, thank God, but there's always this fear when you come back". So good players can always play together.

Neymar has reportedly told pals he "wants to play with Cristiano Ronaldo", and Zidane, despite dodging questions, hinted at his future transfer plans. After the final we'll talk with the club about next year and what changes will be made.

"We were inseparable and had enormous understanding", Neymar said. On the pitch there is a chemistry. Things went very well for us and for the team.

Neymar said this season has been the least he's ever played, so he is rested for the World Cup that begins on June 14 in Moscow.
