Ko held the 54-hole lead at the LPGA Mediheal Championship, but she needed to birdie the 18th hole to force a playoff with Minjee Lee.

At the end of a week in which Lydia Ko was written off by some extremely knowledgeable judges, she bounced back with an incredible shot to win her first title in two years.

The two 21-year-olds went head to head in a sudden-death playoff after Lee made up three shots to catch overnight leader Ko with a closing four-under 68.

"When that putt dropped I used to be like, 'Oh my God.' Loads of feelings, my entire workforce and my household have labored actually exhausting for this second".

"Its insane because I was three-over for the day at one stage today and I said hey youve just got to focus and you never know whats going to happen and I was able to put my game together on the back nine".

Meanwhile, Lydia Ko (67) will have a chance to win the Championship for her first win on Tour since 2016. "I was able to hit a good shot again and I didn't really know how close it was going to be".
