Anthony Joshua takes the high road regarding Deontay Wilder comments

Former undisputed world boxing heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has praised Anthony Joshua for the manner he overcame Joseph Parker in their unification bout in Cardiff on Saturday night.

But the London 2012 Olympic champion was in more considered mood at the post-fight press conference. IBO, WBO, IBF, WBA.I'm not into the hype, I'm about business.

Both fighters had stepped into the ring undefeated, with Joshua weighing in 2.7 kilogrammes heavier than his shorter opponent and with a longer reach.

"Anthony Joshua wants all the belts - that is the big card Deontay Wilder has got to play [but] commercially, Joshua is far bigger than Deontay Wilder".

"I think negotiations will start next week".

British-Nigerian Joshua, 28, has now gone 21 fights without defeat while it was Parker's first professional loss after 25 fights.

Wilder wants to look a man in the eye with the knowledge that his opponent has kissed his family goodbye for the last time and then Wilder wants to beat that man to death.

Barry says Parker knows he should have thrown more punches in the 12-round fight, won on a unanimous decision by the giant Brit.

Parker did have some success with his raiding tactics and ripped a right hand through Joshua's guard in the fifth, before charging out again in the sixth and chasing AJ to the ropes. Listen, AJ, please don't fight Wilder because he'll knock you spark out and take my fifty million. Had a few skirmishes developed, a few more brawls, anything could have happened.

"I think 2018 was about getting all the belts and we are one away now".

"But they are so erratic and unpredictable, I don't know what to believe".

"Unfortunately for us, the referee just didn't allow us to do that".

Butt Joshua's trainer McCracken countered: "When he explained the rules for two minutes he spoke English".

"When the ref came to the back, he couldn't speak English", Parker said, via the Telegraph.

But a game Parker kept going and the boos at the end of the contest appeared to be aimed at the referee rather than the boxers.

The other aspect is that after earning more than $10million for his efforts, the drive to get back to the daily grind of training may not be quite as appealing, but again, his message after the fight was "I'm going to be bigger and better". With him, it's so insane, when I'm in the Bronze Bomber, I don't really care.
