Among those invited into the castle grounds will be 200 people from charities and organisations close to Harry and Meghan, it emerged today. And we're not even ashamed.

The guests will be able to watch the arrival of the bride and groom and the carriage procession as it departs from the castle.

This, of course, is in-line with both Harry and Meghan's passion for inspiring and supporting younger generations.

The couple will also invite 530 members of staff from the Royal Household and Crown Estate, and more than 600 people from the Windsor Castle community.

That seems to be the motto of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the couple announced 2,640 members of the general public to their wedding in May.

Kensington Palace said a total of 2,640 people would be invited into the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Kensington Palace relayed a series of exciting tweets accompanied with pictures of the venue St George's chapel and the couple on their recent engagements where they interacted with the crowds. (AAP) There is much speculation about who will be invited as guests to the wedding.

The invitees will be able to watch the bride and groom at St. George's Chapel, where the ceremony will be held.

St. George's Chapel has been the site of many royal weddings, although other members of Prince Harry's immediate family were Wednesday in London.

For his wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011, Prince William did not issue any specific invitations to members of the public, beyond those invited to the ceremony itself and following reception.

They will return for a reception with guests of the service before a second reception for friends and family later in the evening.

The couple are marrying on a Saturday meaning no extra Bank Holiday for this royal wedding but the United Kingdom government has already announced plans to allow pubs to stay open later on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 May as part of the celebrations. It is a more intimate setting than alternatives such as St Paul's Cathedral or Westminster Abbey, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge married.
