Roe said nobody on the train was seriously hurt, but once he found out the train had hit a truck, his medical training kicked in as he and other physicians on the train got out and attempted to save the life of Christopher Foley, the 28-year-old Virginia man who was killed from the impact.

The maximum speed limit for the area is 60 miles per hour. The NTSB is still investigating whether the train braked prior to impact.
Kotowski says the trash company, Time Disposal, has been in business for 33 years.
Board Member Earl Weener confirmed the NTSB was treating the incident as an "accident", responding to reporter questions about whether it could have been an intentional act targeting GOP lawmakers.
The company announced Thursday that it had set up a GoFundMe page to help support Foley's family. U.S. Rep. Bruce Westerman of Hot Springs offered an update on Facebook, telling people: "I am on the train in Virginia. May he rest in peace, you will be missed by many Chris".
He explained that fellow doctors, Rep. Larry Bucshon, a cardiologist, his wife Dr. Kathryn Bucshon, an anesthesiologist, Rep. Michael Burgess, an OB-GYN, and several other doctors and servicemen all had a hand in rescue efforts at the crash site.

"By the time I got there, I looked outside, there were two patients lying down and obviously, one was in really bad shape, and the other was not in good shape", Marshall told CBS News. Six others were injured, according to the AP.
