Hyundai released new generation advanced SUV Santa Fe design sketch

Hyundai plans on showing off the new Santa Fe this February, which means we'll have answers to all these questions sooner than later.

Hyundai released renderings of its upcoming fourth-generation Santa Fe on Tuesday, showing off a sleeker midsize crossover with the brand's new split-level headlight arrangement and face. We'll have the news from all three events, so check back for more.

The new Santa Fe gets a big version of Hyundai's current "cascading grille" design, surrounded by an aggressive and chiseled front end with large vent openings, slit-eyed headlights and separated daytime running lights.

Hyundai has just released the car's sketch design and the production of this model of the SUV will look a bit different. More details will emerge closer to the date of unveil at the Geneva motor show.


The model, expected in the USA market in the third quarter of this year, will be also "key to recovering the utilisation rate of Hyundai's factory in Alabama", Ko said.

Based on the industry term "Calm-Tech", the automotive company said that various features in the auto will work to predict the driver and passengers' needs and respond even before they take action. The brand singled out a new rear occupant alert system that monitors back-seat passengers and alerts the driver when vacating the auto. This is the first time such a feature has been showcased in any vehicle globally.

Hyundai's new full-size Santa Fe is a critical product at the South Korean automaker continues to play catch up in the sport-utility segment.
